About a decade ago Jim Davis, owner of New Balance, visited Paul Tordella. Paul had sold Jim's shoes through Paul's FrontRunners store since 1977. The two men batted around their shared beliefs--never sacrifice service, stay independent so that quality and comfort remain core values.
In 2000, their exchange led to Tordella's mission, which is still very much valid today. We aim to make our customers' lives better by putting them in exactly the right pair of New Balance.
